A couple days ago, Guelph United FC hosted over 1,700 fans in our first Canadian Championship match at Alumni Stadium. Although the team came up short against the Canadian Premier League’s H.F.X. Wanderers in a hard-fought 2 - 0 game. However, we believe it was our big splash onto the larger Canadian soccer scene. Onwards and upwards as they say!

This amazing event would not have been possible without the support and contributions of key individuals, organizations, and the wider Guelph community. First, we want to thank all of the Guelph United players for their dedication and incredible play. You put on a great show! Second, a big thank you to the coaches and staff for their hard work and preparation in helping to lead our newly established franchise to these incredible heights in just our second year of playing. Third, we want to thank all of our great sponsors for their generous support. Lastly, we greatly appreciate the University of Guelph and their staff for being gracious hosts to our team.

Most importantly, we want to say thank you to our fans and the community of Guelph for their amazing support. Guelph United couldn’t have done this without you and we will continue to strive to make you proud!

We strongly believe this is the start of something special for our team and this city. We hope to continue growing as a team, achieving even greater heights as a club and through it all, doing our best to make a positive and lasting impact on the community of Guelph.

We look forward to another incredible season as we fight to repeat as League1 Ontario Champions and secure our spot in next year’s Canadian Championship. Guelph United FC’s next home game is a rematch of last year’s semi-finals as the boys take on Masters FA on May 19th. We hope to see you all at our upcoming home games!

Let’s continue growing the game of soccer in Guelph. Let's stand United!
