Guelph Union, going for third home win in a row
After a couple of away games that saw our ladies pick up a point in London, we are facing Oakville's Blue Devils FC, a team who started the season in very similar fashion, and who is currently just 1 point behind us in the standings. Blue Devils' best player of the season so far has been Stefanie Young, who has managed to score 7 of the 11 total goals her team scored this year, a streak that Elizabeth Brenneman will no doubt hope to break.
Guelph Union, meanwhile, hopes to keep the home momentum going with a third consecutive win at the Bowl. Our top goalscorer, Victoria Hinchcliffe, was close to bagging her 5th of the year last Wednesday in Whitby; she will try to reach that mark tonight, in front of our fans.
Guelph is currently 11th in the League1 Ontario standings, but only 3 points behind the last playoff spot, so a win tonight could see our team jump up to the top 6 teams in the league.
