Guelph United announces 10-year partnership with Guelph Soccer

Guelph United is pleased to announce a 10-year player pathway agreement with

Guelph Soccer, that will help grow the sport of soccer in our community.

The partnership extends the player pathway in Guelph, and will allow Guelph Soccer players to be called up to GUFC teams, offering their youth players, and those up to the U21 level, increased opportunities to compete at the League1 Ontario level. Guelph Soccer will now offer U21 Men’s and Women’s teams affiliated with GUFC.

The Guelph United F.C. family is very excited to affiliate with our local youth club. This partnership truly comes naturally, with Guelph Soccer delivering soccer to youth, and GUFC supporting adult players looking to play at the highest level in the area. With this partnership, both clubs can now offer a pathway from cradle to Pro, and that is fantastic for our community
— Keith Mason, Guelph United GM
Creating this long-term partnership is integral to connecting their players with our youth to bridge the gap between youth soccer development and League1. Guelph United offers training and development to players to compete at the highest level, providing our players with valuable experience with their local League1 club
— Conor Brogan, Guelph Soccer Board Chair
Guelph Soccer is thrilled to be partnering with Guelph United F.C. This allows us to provide our players with the opportunity to develop within the club and go beyond to play at the League1 level. We are excited to have players grow to play semi-professional soccer right here, in the city of Guelph
— David Frizzell, Guelph Soccer Executive Director
