Last Friday, Guelph United hosted its annual season-end Gala and Awards. With an eye to a 2025 in which Guelph United hopes to build on the success of the women’s team, and to promote right back to the Premier Division with the men’s, here are the awards winners for our 2024 season, as well as photos from the event.

GUFC Men lose against Woodbridge, but stay alive

Guelph United played its best game of the last few weeks, yesterday afternoon against Woodbridge Strikers, but it was still not enough. A 0-1 loss that sees our team stay in 11th place, 4 points below Sigma FC, who fortunately also lost yesterday, 5-2 against the Vaughan Azzurri.

GUFC Women ends season on high note; men lose again

That’s a wrap on our women’s 2024 season, and what an ending it’s been. A 7-1 dismantling of 2023 champions Alliance United, and a 4-match undefeated streak (3 wins and a draw), to finish in 6th place of L1O’s Premier Division - our highest ever ranking (after ending 13th in 2022, and 12th in 2023).
