Midfielder Josie Morgan returns to Guelph for 2025 season
Guelph United is thrilled to announce the signing of Canadian midfielder Josie Morgan for the 2025 season.
Born in Guelph, Josie, 20, has played for the Guelph Union in 2022, primarily for the reserves, but appearing in 2 matches for the senior squad as well. In 2023, she signed with North Mississauga SC, for which she played in 22 matches and scored 6 goals between the senior and reserve squads, over the last 2 League1 Ontario seasons.
In 2023, she also joined Kent State University in NCAA, and managed 2 impressive seasons with the Golden Flashes. She appeared in 40 matches over the last 2 years, scoring 7 goals, and earning a MAC All-Freshman Team selection in 2023.
GUFC Women begins the 2025 season tonight, with a first round L1 Cup “home” match against League2 side Railway City FC. Due to the unavailability of the Centennial Bowl in April, the match will be played at Hamilton Stadium (formerly Tim Hortons Field). GUFC season ticket holders have access to this match as part of the season tickets, while game tickets are available here, or at the gate.
