Guelph United is happy to announce we have signed former FC London and Ottawa Gee-Gees goalkeeper Cassidy Joslin for the 2025 season.

League1 Ontario released the full schedules for the 2025 season. We can now confirm our Centennial Bowl openers will happen on May 20th for our women’s team, against Simcoe County Rovers, and on May 25th for the men, against Master’s FA, as part of a double-header with GUFC Women.

Guelph United signed Canadian defender Alieya Pires for the 2025 season; we have also re-signed Canadian defender Haley Ward, our reigning First Team U21 MVP.

Guelph United has signed Swiss youth international keeper Leana Claude for the 2025 season. Claude has played professionally for Young Boys Frauen in her home country, and is currently a U Sports All Star.

Guelph United is happy to announce the signing of Canadian wing-back Emma Warren for the 2025 season. Emma spent the last 2 years playing for the Vermont Catamounts in US college soccer, and for North Toronto Nitros in L1O.

Guelph United is happy to announce that GM Keith Mason will take over men’s head coaching duties for the 2025 League1 Ontario season, following the departure of Justin Springer. Randy Ribeiro will serve as assistant coach, while also remaining head coach of the women’s team.

That’s a wrap on our women’s 2024 season, and what an ending it’s been. A 7-1 dismantling of 2023 champions Alliance United, and a 4-match undefeated streak (3 wins and a draw), to finish in 6th place of L1O’s Premier Division - our highest ever ranking (after ending 13th in 2022, and 12th in 2023).

Yesterday’s double-header saw both of our teams face the Vaughan Azzurri, at the Centennial Bowl, in a festive atmosphere due to the Guelph Soccer Day event. Our men’s team lost, but our women’s team got to within one point of confirming the survival from relegation.

Guelph United’s senior teams had a mixed Sunday at the Centennial Bowl, with the men getting a convincing, massive win, 4-0 against Sigma FC, and the women losing a tightly contested match, 0-1 against FC London.

The worst stretch of results in Guelph United history is over: yesterday afternoon, both our teams ended losing streaks with impressive, convincing wins that give us some breathing room in the relegation battles of League1 Ontario.
