GUFC signs U Sports star midfielder Hannah Neville

Guelph United continues to add U Sports star athletes to the roster for 2025. Our newest signing: Canadian midfielder Hannah Neville.

Neville hails from Paradise, NL, and just finished her first U Sports season with Nipissing University, in North Bay, ON. It was an impressive year, in which she was named the OUA East Rookie of the Year, made it to the U Sports All-Canada Rookie Team, and also won the Laura Breen Award for the NLSA Female Player of the Year, among other accomplishments.

Before her rookie season with the Nipissing Lakers, she played for the Feildians Athletic Association in St. John’s, NL, with which she qualified for the 2024 Jubilee Trophy (the national final stage of amateur soccer in Canada), ending up league MVP and Golden Boot winner.

With the help of my university coach and some friends on my team, I chose Guelph United. After speaking with coach Randy, I knew Guelph would be the perfect fit for me. I love the coaches positivity and the connectivity between the club and the community and I am honoured to have been offered the chance to play for Guelph United. I continue to train in the offseason with the goal to perform at my best for my teammates and the club as we strive towards a League1 title. I am excited to take my soccer career to the next level with Guelph United!
