L1 Cup draw results: GUFC finds out first opponents

League1 Ontario announced today the draw results for the 2025 L1 Cup, the league’s cup competition which will once again feature all its senior teams, regardless of the division they’re playing in.

GUFC Women, on the heels of finishing 6th in last year’s Premier Division, was favored to get a Bye in Round 1 of the competition, but the draw did not go our way. Our women’s team will enter the Cup in Round 1, and will host League2 side Railway City FC, a brand new team based in St. Thomas, ON. In case of a win, our next opponent will be Alliance United, away.

GUFC Men will start the competition away to fellow L1O Championship side Windsor City FC. The winner will advance to face L1O champions Scrosoppi FC, also away. In fact, according to the bracket, GUFC will be playing away from home in every round until the final.

The first round matches will take place between April 8-13. Scheduling information will be announced at a later date.
